The winter chill in Hyderabad has shown signs of easing, with temperatures gradually rising over the past 24 hours. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature on Friday was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius, which is 1.4 degrees Celsius below the seasonal average. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature early on Saturday rose to 18.8 degrees Celsius, marking a significant departure of 2.8 degrees Celsius above normal levels.

Humidity levels in the city have also shown notable variation. Relative humidity on Friday was measured at 82 per cent during the morning hours, dropping to 50 per cent by the evening.

The IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies with haze for the week ahead, indicating a continuation of dry weather conditions. Minimum temperatures are expected to hover between 15 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will gradually rise, reaching up to 33 degrees Celsius by January 24. The current forecast suggests maximum temperatures of 28 degrees Celsius for Saturday, with an increase to 30 degrees Celsius by January 19 and January 20. By January 22, temperatures are likely to reach 31 degrees Celsius and could climb further to 33 degrees Celsius by the end of the week.
